MUST HAVE LAUNDRY ROOM ACCESSORIES

When decorating a laundry room, there are tons of laundry room accessories you can choose from. The first and most important laundry room accessory is your laundry room appliances. If your washer and dryer need replacing, there are many choices available now that can outfit your laundry room. Be sure to choose a set that will keep up with the amount of laundry you do each week. Larger families would benefit from the larger load capacity sets and so on.

Once you have your laundry room appliances chosen, you can think about things like wire rack shelving, utility sinks, laundry bags or baskets, shoes racks and more. Depending on where your laundry room is in your house, you may need certain types of laundry room accessories, such as shoes storage racks and places for coats and rain gear, if your laundry room is also a mud room, etc.
There are many types of drying racks, shelving units, permanent shelving and other things that you can use to transform a small place into an efficient, beautiful, enjoyable place to look at and work in. While no one likes to do laundry (ok, some may like it) making sure that your laundry room isn’t just a gigantic reminder of dirty clothes is good for your attitude.

Some other laundry room accessories you might enjoy having as part of your laundry room are color coordinated laundry hampers, ironing boards that fold down from the wall, drying racks for clothes that can’t be dried in the dryer, shelving for detergents, bleaches, stain removers, and softeners, laundry bags, and more. The choices are really endless.

An alternative to the traditional ironing board is a magnetic ironing pad. These pads are meant to lie over the top of the dryer, and are for ironing clothes without taking up additional space. It’s best used for touch up ironing and not major ironing jobs. It stays on the dryer easily since it’s magnetic and is heat resistant.

If space is a major issue, you can attach a retractable clothesline that can be attached when in use for clothes that can’t be dried in the dryer, and put away when it’s not needed. There are just so many choices you have when it comes to choosing your laundry room accessories, so take some time to look around your laundry room first and decide what will help you utilize your space the best.

There are decorative laundry room accessories as well, so don’t forget about those; wall hangings, rugs for the floor, curtains if your laundry room has windows and more. Color coordinating different things like laundry hampers and wall trim and curtains, can really bring it all together giving the room a major uplifting look that is sure to please.
